Chief of Police:
The West Point Police Department has an authorized force of 6 officers to include a chief, assistance chief, sergeant, 3 officers, and a full-time office clerk. Nebraska Law Enforcement Certification is required as well as supervisory experience. Applicants must possess a valid Nebraska driver's license and pass all applicable background checks. Salary depending on experience.
Police Officer:
Prior experience and certification by the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center preferred but not mandatory. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions and possess a valid Nebraska driver's license. Salary depending on experience.
