The UNMC College of Nursing is seeking a full-time rural recruiter for its Norfolk, Kearney, and Scottsbluff campuses. The Rural Recruiter is responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies aimed at attracting students from rural areas to the nursing program. This position does include extensive travel during peak recruitment season. The Rural Recruiter is expected to build relationships with high schools, community organizations, community colleges, state colleges, and healthcare facilities to promote nursing education and the college in rural areas. Additionally, the Rural Recruiter develops recruitment events and programming for prospective students across all rural College of Nursing (CON) divisions (Kearney, Norfolk & Scottsbluff). This position requires a bachelor’s degree as well as two years of experience in the areas of recruitment, admissions, student engagement, or communications. The ability to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including events and weekends, is required. The position can be located in Kearney, Norfolk or Scottsbluff.
