4-H Assistant - Wayne

Nebraska Extension in Antelope County is seeking a qualified 4-H Assistant, located in Neligh, Nebraska, who would teach and manage effective educational programming in 4-H and Youth Development. The individual will provide positive youth development programming, be able to engage youth through diverse learning strategies, keep accurate records, and prepare timely reports. Bachelor’s degree in Youth Development, Education or a closely related field must be completed by the start date. Prefer a candidate with experience working with youth through other organizations as an employee or volunteer, previous 4-H or teaching experience, and knowledge of spreadsheet and data management software. Be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, teamwork, organizational, and social media skills needed. Programming will include the traditional 4-H program, county fair, school enrichment, afterschool, special interest, and camps. This individual will also work with and recruit volunteers for the 4-H program. The individual must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel within the service area.

The application deadline is September 23, 2024 at 4:30 PM. Position will remain open until filled. This position is full-time county paid position, hourly wage - $20.52, plus benefit package.
