Administrative Assistant III, Parks and Recreation, City of Norfolk. Under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Director, performs a variety of responsible, confidential and complex office duties. Including assisting in administrative procedures, managing supplies, processing invoices and other paperwork, carrying out employee relations, providing customer service and assisting boards and committees. Provides staff support for the Parks and Recreation Board, Tree Board, Bike Trails Committee and Arts Council by preparing meeting packets, attending meetings, and taking minutes. In addition, keeps monthly and yearly time sheets for parks and recreation staff, monitoring vacation, sick, and administrative leave, and prepares their payroll. Candidates should possess an Associate degree in a related field and progressive experience in office administration and public relations. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Salary range is $3,869 - $5,301 per month.
