Public Works Wastewater Plant Operator II

Wastewater Division, City of Norfolk. Operates the Wastewater Treatment Plant and assists in plant maintenance and industrial sampling. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a Class “B” CDL license with required endorsements within 6 months of hire. Skills in electrical, mechanical, plumbing and programmable logic control systems are beneficial. Computer knowledge using Word and Excel is beneficial. Will be trained to operate and maintain wastewater equipment. Scheduled work rotation includes some weekends as needed and rotating on call for weekends, holidays and nights. Bilingual Skills are a plus. Salary range is $4,046 $5,544/mo.
