Custodian

Northeast Community College seeking a Custodian. The purpose of this position is to maintain a clean, safe & comfortable learning environment for students, faculty, staff & administrators. This is accomplished by sweeping, mopping, dusting & vacuuming classrooms, offices, halls, restrooms, windows, corridors, and other public areas, making minor repairs, and reporting maintenance issue in the buildings. Other duties include picking up supplies from warehouse & delivering to buildings, picking up trash, and performing routine maintenance. Maintains assigned area(s) in a clean, orderly & attractive manner & performs related work as assigned by the Associate Director of Custodial Services, Custodial Supervisor & the Director of Physical Plant. Some weekends & holidays required. The work hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 1:00 pm-10:00 pm. These hours are subject to change. This position is in CS1, with a minimum salary of $16.71 per hour. The successful candidate’s salary will be calculated based on education & experience within the grade range.
